Higher education is waking up to a new reality. The enrollment losses triggered by the outbreak of COVID-19 are not going to bounce back. In the fall of 2021, total college enrollment dropped 2.7% from a year earlier, a decline of 476,100 students. For small and mid-sized colleges, especially tuition-driven private institutions, that reality compounds the financial and enrollment difficulties that preceded the pandemic.
This forum, led by Ian Wilhelm, Assistant Managing Editor of The Chronicle, will discuss how colleges are:
The Chronicle will conduct an exclusive survey of senior administrators ahead of the Executive Summit and will share an early assessment and analysis.
The second portion will be an open forum that includes networking with peer leaders and facilitated discussions with thought leaders, such as industry consultants.
The annual JAM Executive Summit, a special program developed exclusively for Presidents, Vice Presidents, CIOs and other C-level executives, presents dynamic speakers and an opportunity to collaborate with thought leaders and peers on pressing issues and changes in higher education. You may choose to attend the Executive Summit only on Wednesday, June 1, or participate in the full JAM conference through Saturday, June 4.
